Assignment Notebook
At the end of each day we will take time to fill in our assignment notebook. Each student is responsible for filling in their own assignments. Please check their assignment notebook nightly. Doing this will encourage homework completion, help with time management and goal setting. Also, the assignment notebook is a great place for us to communicate with one another. I will write a short note or comment to you or your child; please feel free to do the same.
Homework Calendar
The homework calendar will be stamped each day if your child comes to school with their assignments completed. If your child has forgotten to complete an assignment I will write on the calendar on that specific day what assignment was not turned in. Your child will not receive a stamp for the day and must complete the assignment for the following day. I like to reward students for working hard. Therefore, I typically reward consistent homework completion weekly and monthly. The homework calendar should be check nightly and is a great way to keep track of their progress in school. The homework calendar needs to be initialed each night by a parent or guardian.
