My name is Kristin Vahldick and this is my fourth year here at Western Avenue. I absolutely love working here in Geneva with so many wonderful teachers, students, and families. I am so excited for this school year! 

 

I grew up in Lisle and attended school in Naperville. I graduated from Illinois State University in May 2014 where I double majored in elementary education and Spanish. I spent a semester abroad in Spain. After I graduated, I taught first grade and fourth grade in other districts before coming to Western Avenue. I am very excited to be teaching here in Geneva!

 

I love to travel, read, run, and spend time with my family and friends. I am looking forward to this school year and getting to know your children. I believe in a positive learning environment and building a classroom community. I know we are going to have a wonderful year!

 

No matter what this year will look like, I am very excited to work with your child and your family to create the best school year possible. I believe that communication between school and home is very important, so please don't hesitate to contact me with any questions or concerns. This year is going to be incredibly unique, but I know that we can get through it together! :)
