Mrs. Caputo
Learning Behavior Specialist
Hello! My name is Lauren Caputo. I am a learning behavior specialist here at Western Avenue Elementary School. I graduated in 2013 from Bowling Green State University with a bachelor’s degree in special education.  This past summer, I graduated from Elmhurst College with a master's degree in special education.  I am thrilled to be returning for my sixth year as a resource teacher in the Geneva School District.  I feel extremely fortunate and blessed to be given the opportunity to work in such an incredibly welcoming and supportive school, district, and community.
Working in the field of special education has been a lifelong dream of mine!  I truly could not possess a greater passion for the work that I do.  Each and every day I seek to fill my students' hearts and minds with positivity, self-confidence and an understanding that they are capable of achieving success with the proper amount of hard work, optimism, and persistence.  I strive to deliver explicit instruction and evidence-based practices in order to meet the unique and individual needs of each of my students across all environments.
