Proof of Residency

 
For new students enrolling in Geneva CUSD 304 for the first time, parents/guardians must provide two current proof of residency documents (one from each category below) addressed to the guardian to verify the student’s address. Starting with the 2024-25 school year, all existing parents/guardians will be asked to provide current proof of residency during the spring verification process by providing one document from either of the categories below.
 
Category A 
  • Closing documents on your home (Warranty Deed, Bill of Sale, and Affidavit of Title)
  • Current year property tax bill (You can find your tax bill here: Kane County Tax Bill
  • Current residential lease
Category B 
  • Electric bill
  • Water bill
  • Cable television bill
  • Gas bill
  • City of Geneva bill
 
Items not accepted: driver’s license, checkbooks, rent receipts, mortgage statements, insurance papers, credit card statements, personal mail or cell phone bills.

Special Circumstances and Assistance
If a family is living with another family in Geneva and wishes to enroll or verify their student, they need to complete and notarize the Letter of Residence Certification.pdf document (signed by the parent and Geneva resident). This document, along with the resident current property tax bill or current signed lease agreement and current utility bill must be uploaded to the enrollment application. These documents will satisfy the residency portion of enrollment.
