From the Sports Desk:

The girls cross country team faced Thompson at their home meet yesterday. Even though they couldn’t pull off a win, there were still some great race times had by Megan Gronberg, Bailey Hollis, Ava Japlon and Katie Voreis. Go Vikings!

Last night, the 7th grade Viking football team played host to Yorkville. In spite of the home team's best efforts, they fell to the visiting Foxes.

The 8th grade boys took the long journey out to Yorkville last night and came up short against the Foxes. Sammy Perez scored the Vikings lone TD with a 4 yard run. In the second half, Fabian Lewis and John Kliss led the team in tackles. Second half QB Nicky O'Keefe was 0-3 in passing but he ran for a first down on a keeper. Although the Vikings came up short it was a hard fought battle.

Happy Sports Jersey Day!  Tomorrow is Twin Day and Friday will be Viking Day – how blue can you go?!
