Geneva School District Awarded Certificate of Excellence in Financial Reporting

Geneva School District is once again the recipient of the Association of School Business Officials International’s Certificate of Excellence in Financial Reporting. This award results from having met or exceeded the program’s high standards for financial reporting and accountability. This reflects the work of staff on the District’s Comprehensive Annual Financial Report for the fiscal year ending in 2015.

According to ASBO International, the Certificate of Excellence award confirms the school business office’s commitment to financial accountability and transparency. Recognition through the COE program can help strengthen the District’s presentation for bond issuance statements and promotes a high level of financial reporting.

“We are very pleased to once again be in receipt of this recognition, which is a testament to the hard work and professional competence of Assistant Superintendent Donna Oberg and her staff in the Business Services Office,” said Superintendent Dr. Kent Mutchler.
