Geneva Continues to Achieve High ACT Scores in 2015

In a continuation of the success that Geneva High School’s students traditionally display on the ACT, Geneva’s graduating class of 2015 achieved an average ACT composite score of 24.3, according to numbers released this week by ACT. This impressive average far outpaces the state and national composite averages, which for 2015 are 20.7 and 21.0, respectively.

“We have incredibly hard working students in Geneva School District, and these high scores are just one example of the success that has come from that dedication to education,” said Superintendent Dr. Kent Mutchler. “We are also very thankful to our staff, parents, and community for the value they place on education in Geneva and for their continuous support of our students to help each and every one succeed.”

In 2015, the ACT, which is graded on a 36-point scale, was taken by every Illinois high school student regardless of post-high school plans. This is the third year the results published by ACT include the scores of students who took the ACT with accommodations.
