Geneva Middle School North and South will be participating in the 13th Annual Bridge Walk to benefit the Living Well Cancer Center in Geneva. Please consider joining the team on Saturday, May 19th at Fabyan Forest Preserve for a 5K walk along the Fox River. With your support, we can make a difference in the lives of those fighting cancer, right here in our own community. If you would like to join our school team, please pick-up a permission slip in the office.

Basketball Intramurals are beginning next Thursday, May 3rd! You can pick up a permission slip in the office.

From the Sports Desk:

The girls track team had a great performance last night against North. Sydney Brief, Jacquelyn Weppner, Ellie Lemen, Abby McMillen and Sydney Hostasa put up some great distances in the field events. 4X200 team Becca Spezzano, Erin Slagle, Bella Walls, and Frances Ferguson were .03 seconds away from beating the school record.

Congrats to the 8th grade girls! We had some personal best times and distances! Great job to Maddie Dreyer, Kaidance Horner, Annie Walter, Kayla Stone, Ava heckenberg, and Allyson Romero! Thanks to all who went outside their comfort zone and contributed to the team effort!! For the 7th grade boys, Jake Foley was fantastic in the relays and Gabe Boivan put up a big showing in the triple jump, 20, and 4 by 400. 

Club News:

  • Chess Club will be having its final meeting of the school year on Tuesday, May 1st in a chess match which will be held at GMS North. Don’t forget to check your email for your permission slip or see Mrs. Fedor if you didn’t receive one.
