Attention 6th graders who are tour guides for 5th grade tours TODAY. Tour guides for Harrison, Williamsburg and Fabyan Elementary Schools please meet Ms. Knapp in the Cafeteria at this time.

There is a new intramural at South – Origami! For those of you who are not familiar, Origami is the Japanese art of folding paper into decorative shapes and figures. There are two sessions to choose from and it’s free! Pick up a permission slip in the office before they fill up.

Club News:

  • Science Club is meeting today.

  • Art Club meets again next week Monday and Writers Club on Tuesday.

  • Social Studies Club’s end of the year party will be held this coming Tuesday until 4:25.

     

From the Sports Desk:

Results are in from our final dual meet against Kaneland. Congratulations 8th grade girls

Our 3200 relay consisting of Lydia Kelley, Gretchen Farrell, Abigail Harrison and Kayla Stone set the school record. Our 4x 400 relay of Sara Cramer, Maggie Deagle, Annie Walter and Isabelle Vishnessky won their event.

Other noteable performances were Rebecca Riani winning the triple jump. Kayla Stone’s second place in the 400 meter run. Aly Pronenko’s second place in discus. Kaidenace Horner awesome run in the hurdles for a second place finish and Sara Cramer’s high jumping!

Great dedication this season 8th grade girls!
