Good news 7th and 8th
graders, we have a few spots still open for our escape room activity on March
16th. If you are still interested in signing up for this event
you can come to the office with your $5 this week. Find some friend to
join you or come alone and join a group. This will be a really fun
activity that will happen right before our 7th and 8th
grade dance.
It’s March Madness time – wear your favorite college gear tomorrow and bring your competitive March Madness spirit to the library during lunch for some literary trivia competitions. Earn raffle tickets for the prize drawing happening during the student-faculty basketball game.
Clean off your bookshelves and pick-up some new books to enjoy at
our GMS South Book Swap on Friday, March 9th. Bring in your books by
Thursday 3/8. See Mrs. Mourek or Mrs. Hollis for more information.
This Friday
March 9, after school, will be the faculty/student basketball game. 8th grade students who are interested in
playing must have a current physical on file and should see Mrs. Benhart in 8W
for a permission slip.

Chess
Club is meeting today at North after school. All
students are welcome, as we prepare for our match against St. Charles on March
20th. Bring a friend or challenge an existing member. We also have a few
extra Chess Club shirts. Check with Mrs. Fedor for sizes if you would
still like to purchase one.

Sports Desk:
The 8th grade basketball team faced
off against North last night in the playoffs. Thanks to a hot start by Chrystiana
Pagonis, who scored 12 points in the first half, the Vikings were able to grab
the lead. The North Vikings came out on fire in the 2nd half knocking down
a couple 3's but Tilly Lobdell was not letting that happen with some great
defense and shooting. The South Vikings conquered the campus show down
and continue their season today.

7th and 8th grade track participants: Track season is approaching soon. Please make sure you have an updated sports physical on file with the
main office.
