It’s coming…the first GMS Young Adult book club of the year is coming soon! Join us on Tuesday, 11/13 for pizza and pointed discussion on our 9/11 themed books. See Mrs. Fedor or Mrs. Hollis for details. Hope to see you there!
The
next intramural coming up is the always popular trip to Epic Air. Permission slips are available in the office
and are due back tomorrow. Don’t miss out!
It’s time to start bringing in all the Box Tops you’ve been collecting because there is going to be a prize drawing on Friday, November 16th. Anyone who brings in 20 or more entries will be eligible to win a $20 gift card to the Goodrich Randall movie theatre and even if you only bring in one box top, you’ll be eligible to win a $5 gift card to Graham’s Chocolates! Entries of 20 or more must be in a baggie or envelope with your name included INSIDE the baggie or envelope. Remember, soup labels don’t count!
Do you enjoy
helping others? It’s not too late to join Leo’s Club -the next meeting is Tuesday, November 13. We will be planning the Breakfast with Santa event with the High School.
All this week, in honor of upcoming Veteran’s Day, Leo’s Club is having a Care Package collection to support our soldiers. For ideas of what you can donate, look for the posters around school and on the electronic announcements.
Wired Crew will be meeting in the South library after school today and it’s not too late to join! Explore coding, robotics and
technology. See Mrs. Fedor in the
library for details.
Keep bringing in Pop Top Tabs
for Ronald McDonald House Charities. Place your Pop Top Tabs in the boxes in the
cafeteria or bring them to Ms. Beyer in 6Blue. Our donations will help Ronald
McDonald House, a home away from home for families of children receiving
treatment from a nearby hospital.

The 8th grade B basketball team decided to Fly the W once again.
Tommy Maynard had a big 3 pointer and Thomas Wiedenhoeft had some Steph
Curry like drives to the basket. The
team cruised to a big victory over Batavia.
I'm not sure even the Duke Blue Devils could have stopped the 8th grade A basketball team last night. It was a great team
effort. Alex Klbecka had 7 points in the
first quarter. The Vikings knocked down
5 3 pointers in the game and won by 8.
