Oct. 15, 2018A third contract
negotiation session between the Geneva 304 Board of Education and the Geneva
Education Association has been scheduled for the evening of Thursday, October
18, with the independent mediator from the Federal Mediation and Conciliation
Service. Due to a scheduling conflict the mediator was not originally available
on this date.
We are committed to
the mediation process and are glad to have an additional session scheduled this
week. We will also plan to meet during the previously scheduled sessions on
October 23 and 30 if an agreement is not reached before then.
Please show your
support of District 304 schools and students by continuing to call upon both
the Board and the union to keep talking and to work in good faith under the
guidance of the impartial federal mediator to achieve a contract agreement
without disruption to our schools, students and families.
