Are you an animal lover?  Do you have a big-heart for homeless cats and dogs? Would you love to see a place that takes great care of homeless cats and dogs while they wait for their furever homes?  Then the next Leo’s Club field trip is fur you!

This is your chance to visit Anderson Animal Shelter and see what goes on behind the scenes at a truly wonderful shelter. The trip is scheduled for June 4th after school and the cost to go is ONLY $5!  Permission slips with all the information are available in the office and will be due on May 31st. Better hurry though because space is limited!

Don’t forget that all library books and fines are due May 28th. And there’s good news – if you stop in the library this week you can get details on how to earn a fine forgiveness dollar.  Remember, if you don’t pay your fines, you won’t get your yearbook, so get that taken care of!

South, you rock! As of lunch yesterday, we are at 219 blocks of a home! Let's finish strong to provide a warm, dry shelter for an entire family in crisis. Each block is just $5!. Today is the last day of our race to build a home! Don’t forget that PE is offering you a pass to get out of running if you donate an extra dollar or more, today only! You can donate in the PE hallway on the way to class.  And how about some dessert? 35 cents of all cookies purchased in the cafeteria today will go towards our goal.

And now for the standings... On the climb, in third place with $67, 7-White! In second place, with $241... 6-White! And in first place with a whopping $487... 6-Blue! 7-Blue, we believe in you! And 8th... we have faith! Who's winning that team block party with friends? Let's go South!

Today is the Student vs. Faculty basketball game. Plan to stay after school on to watch this epic battle between the edgy, efficient, exceptional 8th graders and the superb, seasoned, sharp-witted staff.
