From the Sports Desk:

The 7th Grade Girls B team put up a strong point count verse Batavia last night but couldn’t come back enough to pull off the W(in). Rayna knocked down shots with ease last night and the whole team hustled the game through.

The Batavia Bulldogs must have been wearing a bad pair of Nikes in the first half because the 7th Grade A team cruised by them with their full court press. The girls capped the first half in dramatic fashion with a buzzer beater by Maddie Wrobel and an assist from Hope Ieler to end the half. Batavia closed the gap in the second half, but once Ashlin Weber took that headband off, it was all business, as she played a key part in leading the girls to victory.

On the 8th grade B team, Maddy Ptak grabbed the leash last night and was firmly in control of the Batavia Bulldogs. Maddy had 15 points in the game, which were almost twice as many as the entire Batavia team.

In the A game, Ella Madden wouldn't let the Bulldogs pull any tricks on us. In fact, she made the Bulldogs on defense, sit and stay as she crossed them over and dropped basket after basket on them. The A team went on to win big. Both teams deserve a big treat after their wins.
