and 8th grade students, device audits are today. Please drop off your device in
the team center on your way to PE today. You can pick it up after PE class.
Auditions
for the 6th grade play, “Alice @ Wonderland” are this week.
Auditions
will take place in the cafeteria Tuesday and Wednesday after school from 3:30
to 4:30. Sign-up in the main office or the 6B team center – be sure to take an
audition form and a script excerpt. And
you only need to attend one day of the auditions. See Mrs. Poppen in 6B or Mrs. Surjan in 8B
with any questions.
Mark your calendar for Student Council’s Ice Cream
Social on Thursday, August 29th in the Food’s Room 172 after school
until 4:25. This is a FREE event for all
South students to catch up with old friends, meet some new friends and get the
school year off to a great start.
Attention
all piano, guitar, bass players, and drummers who have been preparing audition
music for the GMS South Jazz Band. An
optional review session for the audition will take place on Wednesday morning
at 7:35 in the band room at North. Auditions will be held before school next week on Wednesday, September
4th in the band room at North. Sign up on the sheet located on the whiteboard in the band room to let
Mr. Flaks know that you are coming. If
you have misplaced your music, please see Mr. Flaks ASAP.
Intramurals
will be starting very soon, and all students are invited to participate! The first two programs will be FLAG FOOTBALL
beginning on Monday, September 9th after school and SOFTBALL beginning on
Tuesday, Sept. 10th after school. Permission slips and more information are available in the main office.
This is a great way to make new friends and have fun with your old friends!
