Geneva CUSD 304 Expresses Gratitude

National School Board Day

Nov. 15, 2019
Happy School Board Members Day!

This national day of recognition thanks local board of education members for their commitment to providing a local governance voice for public schools.

This fall, the Geneva 304 School Board was one of 19 in the state to receive the IASB School Board Governance Recognition, which it has received consecutively since 2013. This program acknowledges school boards that learn and practice effective governance behaviors through participation in and support for board development programs and events.

“We are thankful to our school board for their volunteer service to our students and our schools,” said Superintendent Dr. Kent Mutchler.

Please join us in thanking the following board members: Mark Grosso, Taylor Egan, Leslie Juby, Mike McCormick, Dave Lamb, Alicia Saxton and Larry Cabeen.

School Board Members Day begins the celebration of American Education week from Nov. 18-22. This week recognizes public education those who are making a difference in the lives of our students – including teachers, support staff, parents, board members, and community members. There will be several activities throughout next week to recognize our staff in their work to help our students succeed.
