As you all know, Texas and Florida have recently been devastated by hurricanes Harvey and Irma. Student Council is collecting money all this week to donate to the Red Cross to aid with relief efforts. Our goal is to raise $2000.00 and no donation is too small. Donations can be made by check or cash. Turn in your donations to the library in the mornings or in the cafeteria during lunch.

The winner of the Puzzle of the Week is Simone Sliwa! Please come to the library to collect your prize!

Jivin’ Geneva for 7th and 8th Graders is this Friday, September 22nd from after school until 5:00pm.

Art Club is canceled for today.

From the Sports Desk:

The GMS South cross country team participated in the largest middle school meet in the state of Illinois on Saturday.  Sixth grader Wyatt Gross finished 3rd out of 488 runners in the 6th grade boys race, which is one of the top performances any runner has ever done for our school at this meet.  Eighth grader Brady Ahern also earned a medal at the meet by finishing 14th out of nearly 400 runners and beating his best running time of the year by nearly 20 seconds.  Many of our athletes ran their fastest times so far this season. Congratulations to all!
