Intramurals are starting next week! FLAG FOOTBALL begins Monday, Sept. 11th after school and SOFTBALL begins Tuesday, Sept. 12th after school. Permission slips and more information are available in the main office.
The first Student Council meeting will be this Thursday at 8 a.m. in room 112. Elections and activities for this year will be discussed.
Geneva Middle School is sponsoring a community service project called Feed My Starving Children on Saturday, September, 16th. We will travel to Aurora to pack life-saving meals which will be distributed to starving children around the world. Our scheduled packing time is from 11:30 – 1:30 pm. If you are interested in participating, please pick up a permission slip in the main office. Bus transportation will be provided.
Congratulations to the new cast members of “The Snow White Variety Show”. If you haven’t seen the cast list yet, be sure to check it out – it’s posted right outside the main office. There is mandatory rehearsal today after school in Mrs. Surjan’s room (125 in 8Blue) from 3:30-5:20 where cast members will get their rehearsal schedule and do the first read-through of the script.
Do you like Art? Art Club has a brand new session starting on Monday, September 11th. All students are invited. Students will design their own projects and put on an Art show. Permission slips will be due on September 8th and are available in the Main Office.

On Thursday night the Vikings lost to the combined Thompson and Haines team by a score of 30 to 20. In the losing effort Sammy Perez had three touchdowns which included a 7 yard touchdown run, a 57 yard reception, and a 68 yard reception both from quarterback Alex Porter. Porter also connected with Kyle Anderson for a 2-point conversion. The Vikings are at home tonight against DeKalb. Go Vikings!
