Geneva High School has eleven seniors who have been named “National Merit Scholarship Commended” in the 2017 National Merit Scholarship Program: Jacob Bice; Julia Brown; Grayson Frazier; Anna Gain; John Hammond; Grace Keegan; Ashley King; Avery Moore; Bryce Nelson; Mary Neville; and Samantha Ottley. To achieve this distinction, these students placed among the top five percent (or above the 95th percentile) of more than one million students who entered the 2017 competition by taking the 2015 Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test (PSAT/NMSQT).
