Geneva High School is hosting the Fox Valley’s 2015 Illinois Regional College Fair on Wednesday, April 15. Representatives from nearly 200 in-state and out-of-state colleges and universities will be available to meet students and answer their questions.
“This fair is a great way for students to start the decision-making process,” said GHS Guidance Counselor Mary Jane Johnson. “It’s a great way for them to survey many colleges at once and narrow their choices.”
Over 50 public and private Illinois-based institutions of higher education have confirmed attendance as well as schools from more than 30 other states. Several international schools will also be there.
“Students should come prepared with the questions they want to ask,” said Johnson. “They will be able to make the kind of contacts in a couple of hours that would normally take weeks.”
The Illinois Regional College Fair is a project of the Illinois Association for College Admission Counseling.
All area high school juniors are encouraged to attend.
