Geneva High School's DECA Chapter Competes in State Competition
GHS Students at DECA State Competition 
Geneva High School's DECA Chapter brought home quite a bit of hardware at the State Competition in February, according to DECA Advisor Mrs. Dunlap. "With more than 1,300 students statewide, all of our GHS DECA competitors made their advisors VERY proud," she said. 
 

Seven GHS students are on their way to Atlanta from April 21-24 to represent Illinois DECA. Please help us congratulate the following students for their outstanding performance.

The following have qualified for the International Competition:

  • 1st place: Cam Zak – Sports and Entertainment Marketing
  • 3rd place: Peter Mertka  – Business Finance
  • 5th Place: Gabrielle Brainard – Fashion Merchandising Promotion Plan
  • 5th Place: Caroline Lahey – Food Marketing 

Top 10, qualified for Internationals, placement TBD:

  • Cassie Longo: Business Service Marketing
  • Vivi Mehren: Business Service Marketing
  • Maggie Ammon- Retail Merchandising
