GHS Students Demonstrate Cabinet-Making at SkillsUSA State Competition
Two students from Geneva High School headed to Springfield in April after qualifying for the SkillsUSA state competition.

Kyle Michelsen and Sean Corkery were among only 15 woodworkers to earn this achievement. During the competition, students were given 6.5 hours ot make a cabinet with both a shelf and a door, according to GHS teacher Mr. Markuson.

Students are judged on the tolerances given on the plan and how close they got to completion in the time alloted.  Seven students did not finish, but Kyle finished 4th and Sean 8th, which in itself is a success, according to Markuson. Congratulations to both students!
