Viking Alliance is a newly formed
club at Geneva Middle School South that will have its first meeting after
school on October 26th in the Reading Lounge. Viking Alliance is a
student-led club for anyone who would like to do fun activities in a
supportive, inclusive and nonjudgmental atmosphere. Viking Alliance is about
valuing all people no matter
their cultural beliefs or their sexual orientation.
If you believe in everyone’s right to
be themselves, that differences make a community stronger and if you enjoy
lively discussion about diversity and inclusion, then this club is for you.
Please see
Mrs. Rolf in the Guidance Office if you have any questions.

Imagine this…six high
school students who flunked history must survive a weekend at a wax museum to
get credit for the course. When all the wax figures magically come to life,
they are in for a serious adventure. With fierce pirates and rowdy outlaws
threatening them at every turn, will they be able to survive and save the
museum? Come see the 6th grade play, Night at the Wax Museum to find out. You
can see this hit show on Friday & Saturday evening at 7:00 PM in the
cafeteria. Students get in FREE with their student IDs and tickets are only $5
at the door for everyone else! This is a show you DON’T want to miss!!!
Student Council's first annual Halloween Movie Night will take place on
Friday, October 26th! Please meet in the library right after school.
Concessions will be sold during the movie and all proceeds will support Red
Ribbon Week! Remember, you must have a ride or take the 5:30pm
activity bus home afterward.
The first meeting of the Geneva Middle School
South yearbook club will take place next Monday, October 22nd in Room 113 in
the 8 W team center. Students interested art, photography and graphic design
are welcome! See Mr. Sempsrott if you have any questions or can't attend the
first meeting.
It’s SOCK-tober and Student council still needs
your help! If you haven’t already brought in a new pair of socks to donate to
the less fortunate in our community, there is still plenty of time. And don’t forget, when you drop off your
donation, be sure to enter the drawing to win a $20 gift card!
From the
Sports Desk:

and 8th grade boys’ basketball players.
Basketball tryouts continue today and will go until 5:20. Please make
