Welcome back, everyone! For those of you who are new to GMSS, I’m
Mrs. Hamilton in the office and I read the announcements most every day and
it’s always information you really don’t want to miss. But if you do, I also put the announcements
on the GMSS website so that your parents and family at home can see what’s
happening too!
Attention
all 6th grade students:
Auditions
for the 6th grade play, “Night at the Wax Museum” are next week.
The
hysterical meets the historical in this crazy comedy adventure where the magic
of history comes alive…literally! Be a
part of the hilarious fun as treasure-hungry outlaws, pirates, and royalty meet
up with six unlucky summer school students and take them on an adventure they
will never forget.
Auditions
will take place in the cafeteria next Tuesday and Wednesday after school from
3:30 to 4:30. Sign-up in the main office or the 6B team center – be sure to
take an audition form and a script excerpt. And you only need to attend one day of the auditions. See Mrs. Poppen in 6B or Mrs. Surjan in 8B
with any questions.
Your
LA teachers will be taking you to the library soon. In the meantime, stop in
and say hi to Mrs. Fedor and Mrs. Mourek when you get a chance and add to our
“new friends” bulletin board!
Intramurals
will be starting very soon and all students are invited to participate! The first two programs will be FLAG FOOTBALL
beginning on Monday, September 10th after school and SOFTBALL beginning on
Tuesday, Sept. 11th after school. Permission slips and more information are available in the main office.
This is a great way to make new friends and have fun with your old friends!
7th and 8th grade students.... your
devices will be audited during PE class on Friday. Be sure to remember to
bring your device to school that day. 8th graders, you will also be required to
bring your charger to Science class on Friday. Please see the email from Mrs.
