Three students from Geneva Middle School South placed first
in the 2018-19 yearlong Statewide Stock Market Game, a competition that is part
of the Securities Industry and Financial Markets Association (SIFMA) Foundation
family of programs.
Eighth-graders Casey S., Mac Y., and Dylan K. beat more than 1,000 teams, according to Social Studies teacher Mr. Michael Hack. The annual competition is held at both middle schools as part of the social studies curriculum. It’s an online simulation of the global capital markets that encourage students in the world of economics, investing and personal finance, according to the website.
Congratulations on this achievement!
