26 Art Pieces Recognized in Scholastic Art & Writing Awards
Feb. 12, 2019
Geneva High School visual art students won 26 honors this year in the Scholastic Art & Writing Awards – including 6 Gold Key winning entries.

For our Suburban Chicago Art Region, more than 2,700 individual works of art and 75 senior portfolios were submitted this year, covering 15 different media categories. These works came from more than 1,200 different students, working with 148 teachers, at more than 40 high schools and junior highs, with additional support of some home school and after-school programs.

All works receiving Gold Keys will move on to national judging in New York City, and will be considered for national honors: Gold and Silver Medals and Special Achievement Awards. These results will be announced in mid-March.

A gallery of all the winning artwork is below. Congratulations to these talented students!
