Geneva Middle School South is goin’ to the dogs (and cats, and puppies, and kittens)! Leo’s Club and Student Council are sponsoring a collection drive for Anderson Animal Shelter.
There are sooooo many things you can donate that will help the shelter. Anything
from paper towels or shredded newspaper to pet store gift cards are helpful,
but a full list can be found around the school and on the video announcements. You can bring your donations to the Main
Office. Homeless pets need our help too!
Attention 7th and 8th graders, the 7th and 8th grade dance is coming up on March 15th from 6:30-8. Why not stay after school and go bowling with your friends! If you’re interested in going bowling before the dance, pick up a permission slip from the main office. It’s only $7 per student!

Da da da da.....CHARGE! After a hard fought first half, Caroline
Madden and Evyn Schokora, of the 7th grade girls’ basketball team, helped set the tone in the second half by taking two offensive charges on the defensive side of the court. Maddie Wrobel was doing her best "no soup for you" impression on defense while also dropping a couple dimes. Tied
up with a couple minutes left, Schokora had a big steal and bucket to take the
lead for good, leading the girls to a big come from behind victory.
The B team took home the W(in) last night, after fighting hard the whole game. The entire team had razor sharp passes last night. Lyndsey Brazner dominated the key, Lucie Buchanan had several assists, and Bella Preston had a huge "and one" in overtime. Congrats girls!
The 8th grade girls’ basketball teams did not have a case of the Mondays yesterday as they hosted Batavia. Morgan Hodgdon helped both the A and B team
win with her skills and showing more than the minimum amount of flare. Hanna Van Camp stole the ball on defense as
easy as someone stealing a stapler off a desk. Have you ever been frustrated so
much by a copy machine you wanted to break it with a baseball bat? Well, that is how Batavia felt because of Hailey Puklin and Hannah McMillen's defense last night. Great wins by both the A and B teams.
