I have the names of the winners of the February Box Tops drawing!  The winner of the $10 gift card is Bridget Hecker and the winner of the $25 gift card is Sarah Carlson!  Bridget and Sarah, come to the office so we can talk about from where you would like your gift card!

 

FCA has a meeting tomorrow morning at 7:30 a.m. at North.  Won’t you join us for some fellowship and donuts?

 

Science Club has a meeting right here at South tomorrow after school in Mr. Duber’s classroom 154 for a Pully Weight Lift Challenge.  Be sure to bring your computers to this meeting!

 

Chess Club is also meeting tomorrow after school but at North.

 

This Friday and Saturday come out to see the amazing 7th and 8th grade musical Annie! The show starts at 7:00 and tickets are FREE for all students!

 

This week’s library trivia winner is Nathan Weinberger! Good job, Nate!  You can pick up your prize in the library.

 

Read Across America Week continues today with a STEAM activity. Students will be working together to design pet snack launchers at lunch. Bring your lunch to the library today to eat. Staff is welcome too.


Attention 7th and 8th graders, the 7th and 8th grade dance is coming up next week Friday, March 15th from 6:30-8. Why not stay after school and go bowling with your friends! If you’re interested in coming bowling before the dance, pick up a permission slip from the main office. It’s only $7 per student! Permission slips are due on Friday!

 

It’s March Madness time – wear your favorite college gear tomorrow and bring your competitive March Madness spirit to the library during lunch for GMS South trivia competitions.

 

This Friday is a Clean-Sweep Friday, so plan to get here at 8:10 to work on that locker.

 

The collection drive for Anderson Animal Shelter continues this week!  Every student that donates an item from the list can be entered into a drawing to be my co-announcer for a morning!  If that doesn’t sound like fun to you, that’s okay, but it would be awesome if you brought in a donation anyway!

 

 

 

From the Sports Desk:

Attention all current 7th-grade football players.  There will be a team meeting this Thursday the 7th of March.  It will be held after school in Coach Sempsrott’s room 113.  This meeting is also open to all current 7th graders who plan on playing football for the Geneva Middle School Program.  Please bring your school computer to the meeting. The meeting will last until 4:25, if you do not have a ride home you can take the 4:30 bus home.  If you were on the Conference Championship team this year and will not be able to attend the meeting, then please email Coach Sempsrott and Coach Lane.

Morgan Hodgdon had a huge game last night for the 8th grade girls basketball B team, coming 1 point shy of a baker's dozen.  The B team went on to beat Thompson thanks to some great passing by the law firm of McMillen and McMillen. 

Ainsley Novay saw Mr. Sharko do the old pop in for the A game and in return she popped in 5 quick points.  The A team went on to win by 20.
