Geneva High School Instructional Support Team, or IST must place students in the Partnership for Success Program. A student may be referred to IST for academic support evaluation by him/herself, teacher(s), or parents.
Students who have a 504 Plan already in place or who have one written while at Geneva High School will be considered for Partnership for Success, or PFS without formal IST evaluation. Placement determination will be assessed through student, teacher, and parent information, in addition to the school psychologist's recommendation.
Any student who does not need daily interaction with the Partnership for Success teacher may be placed in a regular study hall; however, each student in the program will be academically monitored by the PFS, and the PFS teacher will communicate with the parents twice a month or on an as-needed basis.
