Returning Student Verification Now Open

It's time for returning student verification! As we make preparations for the 2022-23 school year, we are asking families of all returning students to complete the online verification process in Home Access Center no later than Friday, May 20. This annual process helps to ensure your information is up to date, and will greatly help as we plan for staffing and space needs.

On Friday, the CDC updated its guidance regarding masking as a mitigation measure for prevention of COVID-19.  This new guidance considers additional factors when determining a community’s level of risk, and based on this new guidance, Kane County, IL currently falls in the Low Risk category.

Dr. Kent Mutchler, at Geneva Community Unit School District 304, was among twenty-two superintendents nationally to successfully complete the AASA National Superintendent Certification Program, administered by AASA, The School Superintendents Association in 2022. This program included eighteen months of coursework and a capstone project.

Over the course of this pandemic, local school districts have time and again been thrust into the center of painful and disruptive conflict. As educators, our guiding mission is to educate children, and throughout this long ordeal we have too often been asked to take our eyes off that goal and focus on issues that ought to be outside of our purview. The current ruling granting a temporary restraining order affecting certain school districts, in which Geneva 304 is a party, is no exception.
