Viking Spotlight: Jamie Dunlap

Ms. Dunlap, business teacher at GHS has been involved with business throughout her career but didn’t start teaching until she was in her 40s. “I used to have a cake business and an Irish dance dressmaking business and although both were ultimately successful, I got very bored and it kind of took the fun out of what I love to do,” she said.

The annual program honors teachers, administrators, and school support staff at school districts throughout Kane County. Geneva 304 nominees include Ken Blatz, Custodian at Geneva High School (Educational Support Personnel Category), Jamie Dunlap, Business Teacher, DECA Advisor & NTHS Advisor at Geneva High School (High School Teacher Category), Eric Schulget, Learning Behavior Specialist at Geneva High School (Early Career Educator Category), Susan Shrader, Dean of Students at Geneva High School (School Administrator Category), and Michelle Vargas-Herbst, Psychologist at Geneva High School (Student Support Personnel Category).

New Proof of Residency Requirement for Returning Student Verification

Soon it will be time to let the school district know if your student(s) will be returning to school in the fall for the 2024-25 school year. This year, we are asking all parents/guardians to provide documents that prove that you live in  Geneva. We are giving you an advance notice so that you have time to gather the documents you need. The student verification process will be available online from April 26-May 17.

Preschool Open House - April 17

The Geneva Early Learning Program invites area families to an Open House from 6:30-7:15 p.m. Wed., on April 17, to learn about the rewarding and enriching preschool offerings from Geneva CUSD 304. Geneva Early Learning Program is an inclusive preschool community for residents of Geneva 304 offering a full continuum of services for children including those with identified disabilities. Its curriculum is a research-based, play-based curriculum. The program is currently accepting enrollment for tuition-based preschool students 3 or older. Parents can enroll now for the 2024-25 school year.
