Board Member Wins Geneva Chamber’s Community Service Award

Posted: 11/13/2013
Geneva school board member Mary Stith is one of two recipients of the Geneva Chamber of Commerce’s 2013 Wood Community Service Award. According to the Chamber, Mrs. Stith received this award because “she continually has the best interest of Geneva’s students, youth and future front of mind ...”
She is currently serving her third term on the Board of Education, and over the years has been involved in various PTOs, the Geneva Academic Foundation, St. Peter’s Catholic Church, the Mother’s Club of Geneva, TriCity Family Services, Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA), and the Illinois Association of School Boards.
Congratulations, Mrs. Stith and Jean Gaines, this year’s second Wood Award recipient, on this much-deserved award!
