Congratulations to the staff of the 2014 Literary Magazine, The Skaldic: Ergo

Congratulations to the staff of the 2014 Literary Magazine, The Skaldic: Ergo on achieving the Highest Award in the 2014 National Council of Teachers of English Program to Recognize Excellence in Student Literary Magazines. A total of 417 schools entered the program, and Geneva’s Magazine tied with DeKalb High School as the number one magazine in the state.

Through the hard work of Editor-in-chief Sarah Lewis, assistant editor-in-chief Michelle Geiser, this beautiful magazine has now won two awards. The magazine also ranked First Place in the 2014 National Scholastic Press Association competition, ranking it one of the best magazines in the nation. Staff members include: Molly Stanfa- Graphic Designer, Molly Zacher-Photographer, and Layout Designers: Kate Creamer, Natalie Zeller, David Franz, Kristian Moravec, Paula Amat, Tom Miller, Madison Tolley, Madeline Happold, and Micah Andersen.

The Skaldic staff would like to extend this congratulations to all those who contributed art, photography, music and writing to the magazine as well, since there would be no magazine without them.
