Geneva High School Senior To Be Member of GRAMMY in the Schools Media Team

Angelie Humbert, a senior at Geneva Community High School, has been selected to
participate on the GRAMMY in the Schools Media Team during the week leading up to the
57th Annual GRAMMY awards, airing on CBS on February 8th.

Angelie attended GRAMMY Camp, another GRAMMY Foundation Education program this past summer, and through this program was selected out of 100+ students to be a part of the Media Team. She will be attending and covering multiple GRAMMY Week events and capturing video content at those events, possible interviews with guest artists, and work with other media outlets on press red carpets. Along with the GRAMMY Awards, Angelie will be covering the entire GRAMMY week schedule from January 30th through February 9th. These events will include:
  • GRAMMY in the Schools Live! Concert at Club Nokia in Los Angeles
  • The Legacy Concert
  • Person ofthe Year Event
  • Special Merit Awards Event
  • GRAMMY Nominee Reception
  • Content from Capitol Recording Studios, Rehearsals with Jazz Session Members and Guest Artists

The Recording Academy and the GRAMMY Foundation provide the mission and support
for GRAMMY in the Schools programs, of which GRAMMY Camp is one of the activities, GRAMMY camp is a selective, competitive program, which provides intensive training for talented high school students in vocal and instrumental performance, music journalism, music engineering and production.


Angelie is the Editor-in-Chief of the Voyager, the GHS student on line newspaper, is a copresident of GHS Chapter of the Tri-M Music National Honor Society and of the National English Honor Society and a member of the National Social Studies Honor Society. She is a member of the Skaldic, Geneva High School's Literary Magazine, and is secretary of the Geneva Varsity Choir. She is employed at Grahams 318 Coffeehouse.
