Dr. Kent Mutchler, at Geneva Community Unit School District 304, was among twenty-two superintendents nationally to successfully complete the AASA National Superintendent Certification Program, administered by AASA, The School Superintendents Association in 2022. This program included eighteen months of coursework and a capstone project.Dr. Mutchler was formally recognized at a ceremony during the AASA’s National Conference on Education held on February 17, 2022, in Nashville, TN.
“AASA’s National Superintendent Certification Program is a valuable program for professional growth and recognition aimed at recognizing excellence and helping superintendents to navigate the many challenges currently facing our schools.” said Dr. Mutchler. “This program was a great deal of work, and well worth the time and effort to accomplish this goal. It helped to keep me focused on serving students and provided me with a host of innovative ideas and a network of peers for working toward the success of all students educationally.”
The AASA National Superintendent Certification Program is a collaborative effort with AASA state affiliates and business and corporate leaders. The master teachers and guest instructors bring a wealth of experience and ideas that have demonstrated proven track records of success.
