Don’t forget the GMSS Food Drive competition starts next week. This weekend would be a perfect time to go shopping and buy some items that are listed on the posters around school. To make this even more fun, the team that brings in the most items will win delicious donuts for the entire team. Is your team going to win the Food Drive trophy and donuts???

Come see the sixth grade play Alice @ Wonderland this weekend. The shows are on Friday night at 7 and Saturday afternoon at 3. Tickets are free for students and teachers. The cast and crew have worked so hard and would love to see familiar faces in the audience.
The next Social Studies Club meeting will be this Monday after school in Mr. Fader's room. If you haven't been to a Social Studies Club meeting, you are still welcome to join! On Monday, we'll be decorating pumpkins for the upcoming election. Pumpkins will be provided for free!

Leo's club will meet on Monday, October 21 from 3:25 to 4:25 in Ms. Beyer's room 223. we will be focusing on red ribbon week food drive.

Tryouts for 7th and 8th grade Boys’ Basketball and for Cheer both start this coming Monday, October 21st after school until 5:20.
PLEASE make sure you are registered on 8to18 and you have a current physical on file.
Wrestling also begins on Monday. There are no tryouts, and the team is open to anyone in 6th, 7th and 8th grade. Please meet in the middle gym right here at South after school until 5:20.

The 8A Vikings Volleyball's season came to a close yesterday as they played a tough match against Wredling. Though the Vikings lost, both Coach Kramer and Coach Shanel are proud of the girls' effort during the game. It's always a great day to be a Viking...remember to slay Queens!
Your 7A girls volleyball team took 2nd in their conference after a tough three games against Wredling yesterday. The team was fierce and every single girl brought their best. Be sure to congratulate them on an amazing season.
