From the Sports Desk:
7th grade girls’ volleyball faced off against Thompson Thunder at home last night. The A team was fierce on the court winning in extra points in two sets. Middle blockers, Paige Brogan and Emma Bardelas fought at the net and kept the Vikings in the game with their phenomenal saves.
The B team fought hard but couldn't handle the Thunder heat. Anna Weiss and Maddie Faith played amazing in the back row and defended against some killer serves.
Yesterday, the 8th grade volleyball team traveled to Thompson. Holly Hansing had awesome net play and made several saves during all three sets. Lila Saxton made some big plays to keep the Vikings in the game. Although both games ended in a loss, the Vikings are hungry for more competition on Tuesday!
The cheerleading team had an amazing performance last night at the football game! Congratulations on working hard and being a dream team. Special shout out to Reese Kanchier. Go Vikings!
Last night, the Viking varsity football team continued its undefeated season with a dominating 42-12 victory over the Thompson Middle School Thunder. For the data geeks in the audience, the Vikings have outscored their opponents 98-30 in the first three games of the season. Next up for Viking football: JV at home next Monday against Yorkville.
