Geneva’s DECA Chapter brought home quite a bit of hardware at the State Competition earlier this month. With more than 1,500 students statewide, all of our GHS DECA competitors made their advisers very proud, according to Ms. Dunlap, GHS Business Education Teacher and DECA Adviser.
The following have qualified for the International Competition (although they have opted out this year):
- 2nd place: Stephanie Howe – Entrepreneurship Start-up Business Plan
- 3rd place: Aaron Stocking – Integrated Marketing Campaign - Service
- 4th place: Peter Mertka – Business Finance
- 4th Place: Stephanie Howe – Human Resources Management
Also, these students received the following additional awards:
- Top 10: Aaron Stocking - Automotive Services Marketing
- Top 10: Will Lew - Business Service Marketing
- Top 10: Andrew Trevino - Entrepreneurship Start-up Business Plan
- Top 10: Eileen Drew & Sydney Nitschke - Integrated Marketing Campaign - Product
- 1st place: Aaron Stocking – role-play # 1 in his event
- 1st place: Will Lew – role-play #1 in his event
3rd place: Stephanie Howe – role-play #1 in her event
