This week, we invited parents to participate in a survey that will help us get a jump start on planning for second semester. We are grateful to the many families who have already submitted responses. While it is clear that parent perspectives on learning options vary greatly, one thing is consistent across the board: a desire to see their student supported and successful. Please know that we strongly support that goal.  
Since we began navigating this very difficult situation, we have been faced with new and challenging decisions along the way, and we carefully weigh each one while adhering to guidelines and striving to balance the outcome. As you read this message regarding some of the planning updates that have been shared this week through 304Connects, we ask for your continued grace, and trust that we remain focused on supporting your student with quality education.

Parent Survey: Second Semester Planning
As previously mentioned, parents and guardians have been asked to complete one survey for each student currently enrolled in Geneva 304. Before participating, families are encouraged to watch the Board meeting presentation at this link (this presentation begins at 3 minutes, 16 seconds). Parents will be reminded to complete the survey by Thursday, Oct. 22.  

School Calendar Updates
The Board of Education approved an updated 2020-21 Calendar on Tuesday that allows for three remaining Remote Planning Days to be applied as half-days. With this change, all remaining half-days in the school year have become off-site learning days for all A & B schedule students in the In-Person Hybrid Learning setting. We recognize the impact that this will have on families. If you have not yet done so, please watch the presentation from the meeting, which explains why we feel this is the best option as we focus on planning, improving, and providing quality educational experiences to students in a variety of formats.
