Jan. 28, 2020

Congratulations to the Geneva High School fine art students who received awards this year at the Scholastic Art Competition. The Suburban Chicago Art Region received 2,188 entries, including 57 senior portfolios. These entries came from more than 40 schools, and were submitted by 1,038 students, working with 135 educators.

Among those, 638 works received awards and will be displayed in the Regional Exhibition from 1-4 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 2. The event will be held at Downers Grove North High School, 4436 Main. St. 60515. There is no admission fee and light refreshments will be provided.

“This competition is extremely competitive, and these students should feel so proud for their accomplishments!” said Fine Arts teacher Mrs. Megan Kelly, who has displayed the winning images onto a monitor by the art rooms in the GHS Commons for all to admire. “Come on by and take a peek!”
