A new basketball intramural is going to start this coming Monday, November 11th.  The cost is $20 per person and permission slips are available in the main office and due on Monday.  This event will be combined with North and held at North. 

 

The Creative Writing Club will meet on Tuesday, November 12th at Geneva Middle School North. Please plan to meet around 7:40 am in room 103 across from the main office. We'll go over submissions from our October contest and play a team writing game. 

 

It's time to roll for initiative! Join us after school on Monday, November 11th for another round of Dungeons and Dragons. We'll meet after school until 4:20 pm in Ms. Riley's room 263 at GMSS. 

 

There is going to be a special strategy practice for Chess Club on Monday, November 11th after school in the SOUTH library until 4:20 PM.

 

Get ready for some 'button-smashing' fun because the next Gaming Club meeting is on Tuesday from 3:30-4:20. Come hangout with all your fellow club members and find a new game to play!

From the Sports Desk:

Geneva Vikings Varsity Wrestling Team had an outstanding win over Thompson Varsity winning 48-43. It all came down to the last match, where 188lber Logan G had a clutch Pin in the 3rd period to secure the win over Thompson. Varsity had a total of 8 pins!!!! Dylan W. had his first varsity win which was a hard-fought pin in the 3rd period. All JV wrestlers had an outstanding night with multiple wins and looked outstanding. Wrestlers of the night were Logan G and Dylan W. 

 

The 8th grade boys A basketball team pulled off a strong win over Jefferson, 50-34. Jonny Udoiwod led the way for the boys, scoring a team-high 19 points.  

 

The 8th grade boys B basketball team won 51-22. Andrew Wiedenhoeft set the tone early with 10 points from four quick buckets. Hudson Riebe led all scorers with 13 points. 

 

Both the 7th grade A and B teams defeated Aurora Jefferson last night by double digits.  The teams will play away on Tuesday against Aurora Jewel.
