Geneva schools play part in Geneva being named one of "Chicago’s Best Places to Live"
Posted: 3/19/2014
The quality education provided by Geneva School District was one of the criteria that led editors to recognize Geneva as one of the region’s best places to live in the April edition of “Chicago Magazine.”

The magazine recognizes 12 city neighborhoods and 12 suburbs as “Chicago’s Best Places to Live” based on a comprehensive review of statistics from Midwest Real Estate Data, the U.S. Census Bureau, the Illinois State Board of Education and local police departments. The following criteria were used in the rankings:
  • Home prices and values
  • Safety
  • Education
  • Ease of transportation
  • Vibrancy, beauty, and friendliness
Geneva was the only community in Kane County to make the list, and the editors acknowledged Geneva School District for having the best elementary school (Mill Creek) and high school (Geneva High) in the county.
