Appreciation from Geneva CUSD 304 Superintendent Dr. Kent Mutchler
Sept. 22, 2017

Dear Ladies & Gentlemen of Geneva CUSD 304:

Thank you to everyone who showed caring and compassion for our students and staff this week, in the face of daunting situations. Our community has come together through the efforts and teamwork of our staff, the Geneva Police Department, the Geneva Fire Department, the Kane County Sherriff’s Office, our parents, our students, and others. Please know that we take any type of rumor jeopardizing the safety of our students and staff very seriously and will continue to take safety precautions at GHS and our other schools as we move forward. We have taken the time to put into place safety plans throughout the district and trust that we can apply these plans to a variety of situations. As a unit school district, we also work to communicate information that impacts one of our buildings with everyone throughout our district when the situation merits. We greatly value the collaborative partnerships we have developed, which help ensure the safety of everyone in our schools and allow us to provide and excellent educational environment. Again, thank you to everyone for helping our school district through a difficult week and bringing our community closer together.

Sincerely,
Dr. Kent Mutchler, Superintendent
Geneva CUSD 304
