Students Celebrate Leadership at Annual Leadership Breakfast

“Leadership is continually learning,” said Geneva CUSD 304 Superintendent Dr. Kent Mutchler at the annual Leadership Breakfast event to kick off American Education Week, Nov. 14-18, 2022. The Nov. 15 event at Geneva High School also featured Geneva Academic Foundation (GAF) representatives who presented a check to the school district for $30,000 to provide classroom grants for technology, programs, and equipment.

Mutchler thanked the GAF and addressed the crowd of more than 200 community leaders, student leaders and teachers from District 304 schools, who came together to celebrate leadership. “It is one of the only times that leadership from both public and private organizations in Geneva meet to celebrate education in the community,” said Mutchler.

Guests had an opportunity to visit with the student councils at each of the District’s elementary schools, middle schools and high school to learn about their school projects and discuss leadership.

During his address, Mutchler thanked the sponsors of the event: Fifth Third Bank, Johnson Controls, Kane County Teachers Credit Union, and Whitt Law LLC.
