Art Club meets today after school with Ms. Marks in room 269.

The Viking Alliance meeting today after school has been cancelled.

Don't forget! The Creative Writing Club is meeting again on Tuesday morning, October 11th, after Columbus Day to socialize and work on our October writing projects. All students are welcome to attend even if they missed the first meeting. We will have a light snack and talk about some writing contests, too! Plan to meet in Ms. Riley's room from 7:45 am to 8:20 am.

Attention all 6th graders! Are you interested in helping behind the scenes of the 6th Grade Play Night at the Wax Museum? If you want to help design sets and costumes, or control the lights, sound, or curtain during the show, then sign up in the main office or the 6 blue team center today! The first Stage Crew practice will be held after school in the cafeteria from 3:30 – 4:20 on Thursday, October 13th. We can’t wait to see you there! Please reach out to Ms. Poppen and/or Mr. Tatar in 6 Blue with any questions.

Coming up! The first meeting of the Dungeons and Dragons intramural will be Monday, October 17th in Ms. Riley's room after school from 3:30-4:20pm.  Experienced and new players are welcome to join!

South played North at the high school last night for 8th grade volleyball. The A team had a great and energetic start but we're not able to seal the deal. Ada Nessling had her best game of the season with strong serves and jaw dropping saves. Lyla She-Hulk Folden was a monster at the net and Talia Reynolds came in clutch with masterful serves and excellent net play. The B team also succumbed to North's mighty wrath and lost in 2. Emma Falkos and Kaily Martin tried to keep south in the game but were unable to come out with the win.

The cross-country team flexed their muscles against North and dominated for the last meet of the year.  The girls were led by Elena Hamilton, and the boys had a big race from Aidan Grogan.  Congratulations to all the runners on a terrific season.  Coach Krahulec, Coach Ellibee, Coach Kuehl, and Coach Sharko are very proud of you.
