March 31, 2020

Illinois Gov. J.B. Pritzker announced today that the statewide building closure for all school districts has been extended through Thursday, April 30. Due to this new order, there are a few updates we would like to provide:

  • Geneva 304 will resume its remote learning plan on Monday, April 6, following this week’s spring break. According to this plan, which will now continue through April 30, teachers will continue to provide learning opportunities and be available to students during typical school hours on all scheduled remote learning days.
  • Our buildings will continue to be closed to our parents, students, and community members through April 30.
  • All school activities that were scheduled during this period will be postponed.
  • We will extend our Grab and Go meal service for qualifying students through April 30 with pickup locations at the front entrance of Harrison Street Elementary School and Williamsburg Elementary School.
  • We acknowledge there are concerns regarding how this order could impact end-of-year activities and events including prom and graduation. We, of course, share these concerns with you, and will communicate with you as soon as we determine our course of action.
While many additional questions remain, we thank you for your continued patience, flexibility and partnership as we work to provide answers. Please continue to check these two pages on the Geneva 304 website, which we are dedicated to updating regularly:
Thank you again for partnering with us and for all the grace and patience you’ve provided as we work to support you and our students.
