Halloween Events

We will be having our annual Halloween Parade and Classroom parties on Tuesday, October 31st, 2023.  The outside parade will begin at 1:15 p.m. If the weather cooperates, all classes will parade around the outside of the building (we will exit door #7, walk toward the back playground, go along the east staff parking lot, around the bus turnaround and then re-enter through door #2, in the front). A map of the route is here. Parents are welcome to come and watch our parade outside.

Visitors:  We ask that parents park in either the front lot or the west lot and line up to watch on the back playground and along the teacher parking lot and front bus turnaround. Visitors will not be allowed entry to the school at the conclusion of the parade unless they are listed as a parent volunteer.

If the parade is inside due to inclement weather, only students and staff will participate in an indoor route. A decision will be made by 12:00 pm to cancel in the event of bad weather.

Costume Rules:  Students in grades 2-5 are not to wear their costumes to school. Students must be able to put on their costumes without assistance for the parade. Teachers and staff will not be able to help with make-up or elaborate costumes due to supervisory responsibilities. It is helpful if costumes are sent in a bag that is clearly marked with your child’s name, grade, and classroom. Students in kindergarten and 1st grade may arrive at school with their costumes on, however masks and/or head gear will not be allowed to be worn during classroom instruction. Please be sure that your child can see and that they can easily walk in their costume during the parade and move throughout the classroom for the party. Students are likely to be sent home in their costumes at the end of the day. Please do not send your child with pretend or look alike weapons, costumes with gory make-up or masks, violent props, or costumes portraying violent acts.  While we understand that this is a time to dress up, we should be mindful of young kindergarteners and/or 1st grade students that may become frightened by scary costumes.

Thank you for your cooperation in making this a fun and safe day for all our students.

Veteran's Day Concert and Ceremony

Please plan to join us for our annual Veteran's Day Ceremony and Concert on Friday, November 10th. All the details and the form to purchase a sign can be found in the PDF below. Please note that the parade will not take place, but the ceremony and concert promise to be spectacular! Donuts and coffee will served followed by the 4th Grade music concert and assembly.
