Back Together 304 Joint Message Update
Back Together Joint Message
March 1, 2021

We recognize that, with the release of new CDC guidelines, staff vaccinations, and a generally downward trend in COVID-19 data, families have questions and concerns regarding Geneva 304’s plans for the current and upcoming school years.

As our joint team of representatives has shared previously, Geneva 304’s planning strategy is focused on the work of many groups, and we meet regularly to plan around efforts to maximize in-person education for students in a safe manner. These decisions are complex and include a measured approach that is focused on educational goals and outcomes as well as COVID-19-related guidelines and data. It is essential that each decision works within the physical, financial, and cultural circumstances unique to our district.

From 6-7:30 p.m. this Thursday, March 4, Geneva CUSD 304 will provide the community with an opportunity to virtually watch a live-stream planning meeting and receive answers to common questions regarding the current and upcoming school year.

To submit your question or public comment, please complete the online form by noon (12:00 p.m.) Wednesday, March 3, at this link. We will continue to receive questions and public comments until 5:30 p.m. on Thursday, March 4, but can make no assurance that we will be able to respond.

A link to watch the video stream will be provided on the District’s website at this link before the start of the meeting.

This event will include a planning session of the Task Force for Educational Planning in COVID-19, followed by answers to frequently asked questions and comments submitted through the form. Thank you.

Dr. Kent Mutchler, Superintendent
Taylor Egan, Board of Education President
Kevin Gannon, GEA President
Leann Enneking, GSSA President
