Back Together 304 Updates from Superintendent.
Back Together Superintendent Message
Nov. 13, 2020

As our Back Together 304 school year moves forward, we feel it’s important to highlight the moments we are thankful for. This week, the Geneva Chamber of Commerce honored all Geneva CUSD 304 employees with the Wood Award, which recognizes individuals contributing to the growth and health of the Geneva community. Also included in this year’s prestigious award are the Geneva Police Department, Geneva Fire Department, and Northwestern Medicine Delnor Hospital. This is a humbling show of support from the Geneva community, and it recognizes the hard work and sacrifices our staff have made to realize our goal of educating students during this very difficult pandemic situation. I am grateful to all of our employees, and congratulate them on this honor.

I would also like to thank our families, students, and community for your continued flexibility and support as we continue to navigate the 2020-21 school year. This week, we continued to see an increase in positive COVID-19 cases in Kane County and our school population. As a district, we are watching those numbers closely, and, as we said last week, we ask that everyone remain prepared and adaptable if we find that we need to make a change in our plans. If you have further questions, please visit the Frequently Asked Questions or the COVID-19 Dashboard pages.

Thank you for your continued partnership and support.

Sincerely,

Dr. Kent Mutchler
Superintendent of Schools
