Your Viking wrestlers hosted Aurora Jewel yesterday in a tough showdown at the varsity level. Featherweight Levi Tucker pinned his opponent in the second period, rolling his opponent out on the mat like homemade pizza dough. George Driesbach was also impressive in his win, getting a pin in the first period with seconds left. Nathan went back to an oldie but goodie pin combination, showing the crowd what a good half-nelson looks like. In Elijah O’Donnell’s match, points were harder to come by than students who enjoy MAP Testing, as he battled for a 4-1 decision win. And finally, if things weren’t interesting enough, Donovan Malone was all too happy to get his coach’s blood pressure up, sneaking out a literal last second takedown in the third period and turned a near loss into a 4-3 decision win.
